TV Series

Fair enough to each their own, for me I thought season 4 was the strongest, I really liked the introduction of Hugo Weaving's character which I won't delve into just in case someone hasn't got that fair but I liked the twist involving one of the main characters origins
Yeah in fairness he/that plot point was the best part of the season. Just thought as a season overall it meandered a bit too much for me.

I'm so elated that another season of Slow Horses occurs tomorrow , one of the most consistent show in terms of quality. The characters are superbly written along with sharp sardonic dialogue and plots that keep you engaged.
Me too,absolute top show.
Also the 4th series of The Witcher is starting next month.
I’m not keen on fantasy/magic genre, but this is outstanding.
Watch Blood Origins first for the history and makes some of the story clearer.

Ray, so many reviews say episode 1 isnt upto much, and I agree, but get through it and it does start to build into something good.

It is a below par start but it is worth the investment.

Yes I agree, I watched episode 1 on Saturday evening, and was not in the best of moods.

Now up to episode 4, and it is worth sticking with, I think series 3 is due soon?

Watching silo. Am about 4 episodes in but not sure about it. Anyone think I should continue or recommend another sci fi series?

I read the books and gave up on the trilogy about 1/4 of the way through the final book of the trilogy when there was a lot of exposition about why they're in the silo. I expect the TV show will be the same. It's decently entertaining for the most part.

…. Death of a Showjumper on Sky worth a watch. 3 part documentary into the tragic death of a young horsewoman in Northern Ireland and the investigation involving the close knit horsey community in which she lived.

Alien Earth.

I wanted to watch all eight episodes before commenting on it.

First thing, I couldn`t for one moment see where the reputed 250 mil it cost to make went, as some of the episodes had a made for tv feel about them.

Secondly, there was way too many other things going on, to the point that the Aliens were almost a side issue.

Timothy Olyphant was great as Kirsch, Ade Edomson as Eins and Babou Ceesay as Morrow, the rest of the cast was average to dreadful and those three held the whole thing together.

Apart from episode 5, which was standout ( where everything went wrong in the lab ) the other seven episodes where all instantly forgettable, lacked any form of suspense or tension and where generally dull.

Massively underwhelming and I can honestly say that I`ve seen better episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, than some of this.

This comes from one the biggest Alien(s) fans on the planet too.
