Just started watching 'Star Trek - Picard'. Not really that into Star Trek, but so far it's not too bad.

I liked Next Generation but Picard is very inconsistent (much like TNG). Some really slow episodes, lazy dialogue and a reliance on tropes.

Good when it gets it right but if it wasn't for the established character of Picard, the goodwill that brings and the Trekkie easter eggs then it's something that wouldn't see a 2nd season.
