Lost interest in it after 3 episodes, it was a mess, like you say, trying to be too clever.
Finally watched season 3 of true detective. Thought it was excellent.
Always gonna be compared to the first series like but that can’t be helped. Some of the themes were a bit too similar I guess and they didn’t help themselves with that terrible reference to season 1

Spiral series 7 is brilliant if anyone has not seen this French cop series start from series one on the net it's great stuff made for BBC4 subtitled in French last two episodes next week maybe ?

my brother bought a weird vinyl by Rick Wakeman (The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round-Table)...an odd album but he seemed to enjoy it

Started watching The Wire because i remember seeing @MarcelsGoat saying it was better than Breaking Bad, which i thought was fantastic.
Just finished season 2 and i'm pretty hooked on watching it, watching 3 or 4 episodes at a time during down periods at work. Its excellent.

Smuggled on channel 4,in two episodes is a facisnating series of how easy it is to get into the UK from France real U.K. Citizens take on the challenge in a number of ways - the only failure was a canoeist who got half way over the channel, and only for the shipping lanes stoppped as it was too dangerous - a real eye opener on how France don't give a damn, and how our border force police are useless - a good watch on catch up - it was held back after the sad 39 deaths .......
To be honest my mind has been pretty fried throughout but I’m just about hanging in there! Still love it though.
Just wait till the end of the second season and your head will splatter the wall.
