TV Series

Just got around to watching Chernobyl then. Fantastic viewing.

From working on nuclear power submarine for over 13 years it made me wonder would I do an reactor compartment entry whilst fully powered. It didn’t take me long to work out I’d rather spend a night with John Aldridge.

The whole story is incredible and was told great. Hope it wins a few gongs.

It goes way down hill the 2nd and 3rd season was partially filmed whe It's original broadcaster ABC passed on it so netflix decided to show the 3rd season and so they paid to have it finished and tweak it

This was to make it different but they are not sure if they will make a 4th. If they do it will be even more different than before beause they will control all filming this time.

I have stuck with it though Season 2 was too drawn out and swung too much into the conspiracy theory side for me. I like shows like this to be primarily focussed on the politics. Of course, West Wing will never be beaten in that aspect.

Season 3 is rather mushy but overall it's not a bad show at all. Kiefer Sutherland's character could be far more nuanced rather than being portrayed as almost saint-like but there are worse ways to spend 50 odd minutes after a long day at work.
 
Just started 'The Loudest Voice' fox news bio-pic mini series with Russel Crowe. Looks good so far.
Also
City on the Hill, with Kevin Bacon and others - again E1 so far so good in a Wire sort of way
