Yes I watched it when it debuted, so thought Baptiste would be decent but getting mixed views on it.
The writers behind The Missing are the ones behind The Widow with Beckinsale in it.
Baptiste isn’t bad, it’s just not as good as the Missing.
In saying that, last weeks episode (5) was excellent, but it’s taken 4 episodes to get there !

Baptiste is definitely watchable. Not as chilling/gripping as The Missing but very good drama nonetheless.
I highly, highly recommend The Looming Tower on Amazon. One of the best based on true events dramas I've ever seen. Completely mind-boggling coverage of the lead up to 9/11.

It very good,a couple of episodes may be hit and miss,I enjoyed them all as they are all different enough to hold interest but as I said the first one and the final one could quite easily be made into films,the cat one is very funny as well

Some of the theories suggesting it was the parents don't add up either.
Both Gerry and Kate went for the meal at 8:30pm so the "death" must have taken place between 6 and 8:30 if it was either of the parents as Kate returned home with the kids at 6pm. However, one of the group of 7 went to check on the McCann kids around 9:30, so if it was accidental then you have to assume that he wasn't involved in any cover up. So why would the parents allow him to go to the apartment (it was actually supposed to be Kate going, but he went instead).If you've got a dead child to cover up, you're not going to allow someone else to go and check the apartment.
Gerry also got speaking to someone called Jeremy Wilkins at around 9:10pm after checking on the kids, and this Jeremy said he spoke with him for 5 minutes and he was acting absolutely normal. I can't see how he'd have a 5 minute conversation and appear normal, and be able to act normal (along with Kate) during the meal until the alarm was sounded at 10pm.
But most importantly, how would they have hidden the body between 6pm - 8:30pm. The Police and Media were all over the case from that night onwards. Don't see how they would have concealed the body in that timeframe. And the blood in the hire car just doesn't stack up either as it was 25 days after she disappeared. Why would they move her in to that car and continue using it...
One thing that is certain - the right wing media are a disgrace and would do and say anything for a sensational headline.
Whether they were involved or not, which I don't think they were, the parents were negligent in leaving the kids, and they have no excuses for taking that action. They put themselves before their kids safety and will have to live with that for the rest of their lives.
