The kings cross one was comical
First series and the book were great , outside Australia bit of a hidden gem. Like love/hate in terms of Ireland , loads of people in the U.K. never seen either and their missing out .
That actually had a chance to be decent too with the history of that place. Unfortunately Australian tv shows are 99% trash

Finished The Haunting of Hill House.
Thought the premise was good, but that last episode ruined it for me.
Aside from that, I enjoyed it overall.
Some of the fine details are fantastic. Keep your eye on the statues in the house usually on the edges of the scenes.

The whole thing is set up to make you wonder whether the house is actually evil or are they all actually suffering from a hereditary mental illness.
Then the last episode goes down some tedious esoteric ramble.
It felt like they were trying to be too clever with the source material imo.

Gave up 6 episodes in. The most horrifying thing about it was the acting.
Don`t give up on it, things really start to speed up after episode 6.

Nah, sorry Joe but I'm not having that. I like the Last Kingdom but it's not a patch on Vikings, which is a shame because the books they're based on are vastly superior to Vikings. The tv show is good but it's also horribly rushed and consequently misses out on so much detail that it's unreal.
The Vikings is turning into a game of thrones theme so I'm told.....

Mmm, I don't think so myself. I thought the first half of season five was one of the best yet.
I'm not knocking TLK, I just think that it's a bit rushed and ignores to much of the orignal material in the books.
It was a good watch. Some episodes were flawless. I agree the ending could have been better, but overall, I enjoyed it
