Anyone watch the new Lord of the Files on BBC 1 last night ?

Utter plop, no idea what’s going on with the camerawork, but switched it over after 20 mins.

Watched the first 2 episodes, I wanted to find the island and go Psycho with a machete, I have never seen a more obnoxious bunch of kids in my life

It was like they’d based the entire cast around Mandlesons kids, with a few token non white kids thrown.

Big let down, as the BBC are normally very good with dramas like this.

Plus, what’s with the camera work, makes your eyes hurt !

It's a ashamed they messed up as it's a brilliant novel and they had hours to really give it some depth

I tried but had to give up, far far to cringe for me.
Very popular though, so ignore my response..

i can see what you mean tbh... i cannot stand Mirren.. horrific person.. but i am sorta seeing past it, im interested in the era moreover which helps.. but yeah there is way too much gloss on it..

Anyone watched Evil on HBO Max / Sky Atlantic yet?
Seems to be a supernatural investigation type thing..

I’m enjoying it. It’s like x-files where you have a believer and a non believer. Lots of humour interspersed throughout. Michael Emerson steals the show as the main protagonist.
