Started re-watching Boys from the Black Stuff. Jeez, the 1980's were so grim for so many but at least people were trying to scrape a living one way or another, legally and/or illegally. Not like today where state scrounging and doing 'kall is considered a legitimate lifestyle.
And not forgetting the teflon coated bellends who will blame anyone but themselves for problems... these so called leaders of the world... narcistic fktards

We finished it the other day, I’d never seen it, only random clips. All we kept saying is “nothings effin changed”. There are still kids today living like Yozzer’s kids and not one bleeding service still has the funding to deal with that or the mental health issues he suffers from.

Finally finished rings of power which I don’t hate but just seems to have too much going on and too many characters you’re not arsed about. Would have been better if they’d been a bit cleverer putting it together. Also Sauron doesn’t carry anywhere near enough menace.
Will watch the latest Severance next.

From 1960, in black and white as uncompromising as the twilight struggle against godless communism, it’s the Lawrence Welk Show. Tonight’s episode salutes notable big band leaders of what was then the not so distant past.

Here’s three-quarters of the Lennon Sisters. (Dianne Lennon’s missing so we may assume she was pregnant at the time and therefore entirely unfit for broadcast to decent Americans.) This was one month prior to the election of John Kennedy to the presidency of the United States, and nine years before the father of the Lennon Sisters was murdered by a Lennon Sisters-obsessed psychopath in the parking lot of a golf course in Marina Del Rey, California. Enjoy!

Watching the D B Cooper documentary on Netflix. As usual Netflix have spurned any kind of educated investigation and instead chosen a load of “experts” who are conspiracy nuts and chronically online weirdos. Not one mention that he almost certainly died too.

It was always going to be tough putting a narrative and threaded, easy to follow story together from the Silmarillion.

My cousin keeps telling me to watch this. I've become disillusioned with ST but I'm considering giving it a go
Not quite as good as next generation but on par with Deep space Nine... It could end up topping all if it gets a decent run of seasons, Season 3 is due out soon and season 4 going into production next month.
