I watched some of the first episode years ago, couldn't cope with the accent and binned it

Yes accents grate on folk if you not from the area. I found a DVD of the Liver Birds in a Charity shop and bought it for my Mom as she used to watch it years ago. I asked her the other day if she had watched it and she said she managed 10 mins and couldn't watch anymore because of the accents.

If Penguin keeps this up for 5 more eps it’s definitely going all-time for me. It’s incredible so far.

Superb. I didn't want to watch it but my missus convinced me to and I'm glad. Farrell is unbelievable. After seeing him in Sugar, it is so hard to think that it's the same actor

I can never tell if my Gotham bias is just taking over but it's just been unreal for me. It's the perfect city setting for a crime thriller. I like how it keeps tying into the film but not in a way where you have to actually watch the film.

It’s been very good so far, building the world really well - standout of course is Farrell though - couldn’t tell it is him, but even if voice and accent…just amazing - be surprised if he wasn’t winning an Emmy for his performance.

I mentioned this during season 1. Season 2 is not quite as good but still excellent compared to almost anything else this year.

For any action, spy, mystery, thriller fans this is a must watch.

Not often i rate highly but this is a strong 8/10

I’m glad he’s in next season. I was worried he was just gonna be their usual random character per season like the bird in S1 that disappeared.

This is insanely good. Season two improves dramatically as well as it continues.

Carla lane was responsible for Bread and the Liver Birds I think she should have done jail time for that.
