They are going for the ITV audience with some of the shows.

Trying to find something he's not in at the moment, it's difficult
I wanted to like it but couldn’t help just thinking what is the point of this? Didn’t finish it in the end, formulaic nonsense with no substance. Just churning stuff out for the sake of it.

I was left very unsure after that first episode. Have they gone down a completely different path with supernatural elements? If so, it's not really a True Detective show and would've been better off as a standalone.
Will fire up the second episode this evening, hoping the pacing picks up a little and we finally get a few interesting characters.
@coollino I’m very happy, to report that this is great.
Wonderful cast, very well written, really funny in parts, quite tragic in others. weird and surreal in others.
Two gifted young Aussie brothers, from a down at heel criminal family, try and keep their lives together, despite the chaos of their lives. One of the brothers has visions, where he can partially see their futures and they both share the same reoccurring dreams.
My prediction is that it’ll be a slow burn, word of mouth hit. It’s already getting fantastic reviews.

gooood - I've watched two and i am enjoying it. I was worried it might have been a bit too feel good and cutesy but there are hints of dark bits there already.
