TV Series

Elves: They're fine
Halflings: They're a whatever, could have cut them from the show
Man who fell from the Stars: You should have issues here lol
Dwarves: Best part of the show
Numenoreans: Fine
Southlanders: Fine

TMWFFTS: at this point the only reasonable character is Gandalf, who the books describe as "the enemy of Sauron" and "was sent for this purpose." The wizards are clearly not men, and being sent to Middle Earth by the Valar isn't a bad story even if it's not spelled out previously (I have not finished the Silmarillion so I can't comment from that bok.) I'm not entirely arsed how all of this plays out. If he starts off as friend of Halflings then that explains the later relationship with them. So far the story is very slow with him, but then again he's only *a few days old* by #4.

No response needed here, whether I'm on or off point with this, and we can talk again after I finish.

I started the old stuff, it was ok, but I didnt like it enough to watch 5 seasons, so I started watching the reboot, only 2 seasons of that, with almost the same people.

Its very cheesy, I read a review, it said it was basically Scooby-Doo and it was a perfect description, but honestly, I like stuff like this and its ok to binge.

In short, wont be for everybody, but im enjoying the reboot.

Maybe I will go back and watch the old 1s after this, cos it really wasnt horrific.
Nice one, I'll probably give it a go next year. I don't mind easy-watching stuff at all. Sometimes that's all you want innit.

Never played 1 of those games, but my boy Pedro is a G.

Same, never played it, but the story and cast are very appealing.

You'll probably be better off not having played the games, to be honest, cos you won't be so familiar with the voice actors/looks of the characters.

I think it might be decent. Solid cast and the story, for a game at least, is actually pretty good.

Mike Spence is no Axel Rod.

Shocking decision to carry on about without Ax.

Just properly nonsensical now.

“Greatest legal mind of his time makes a fatal mistake oh but hang on we’ll let him get away with it despite last season actually making stuff like that matter”

First 2/3 seasons were fantastic but aye, was all about Ax.

Taylor + Spence seem to have been brought in to 'niceify' and 'expand' fluff around the actual plot(s).

Do we really need to see Spence's personal life....or Taylor waffling nonsense?

It went from Chucks whipping and all the interesting stuff around Axe and Wages....to Woke city.

Season 7 is expected in Q1 2023 If there arent some big changes i think the show eats itself.

Im up to date but not who or what youre quoting about here...

With the new age of streaming guiding Mrs P and I's viewing, we have stumbled across a wee show called Strike. It stars Tom Burke as a retired war veteran who has become a private investigator. He operates out of a run down office in London with his easy on the eye assistant, Robin played by Holliday Grainger.

I'm still trying to work out why he has to have a false leg but it adds to the character a bit.

So far I'd give it a 7/10. Easy to watch with a familiar Investigator gets the bad guy / Equaliser kind of feel to the show.

….i think this is the 2nd series, the first was probably a bit better but it was on some time ago. Yep, we found it an ok watch.
