The fantasy genre does not mean that I can fantasize in my head or directors can do this without relying on Tolkien's book. It’s a fantasy book
And you’re upset that they cast a black guy to play an elf

There was a race of dark and gloomy elves in the book. I think it would be better to show a certain race of elves with dark skin. But this is just my judgment and opinion. Another minus is that they recruited undersized white guys, although in the book all the elves are tall.
anyway, series are interesting to watch.
You know there’s other channels or streaming services you can watch right?Anyone been watching this series?

Yeah, it's been great. Been on for the last 2 nights and there's 8 more episodes/days of it.
Golden Globe winner I reckon.
What? This mythical world with elves, orca and wizards should have no black faces.LOTR series isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
a bit overdone with black elves and hobbits, but everything else is ok.

You sad, sad man.

nah, there are no racists right here. My uncle(my mother's sister's husband) is black, so its doesn't work with me.Ah, he's from Ukraine, makes a bit more sense now.
How many talented actors are there going to be that fit the description? Surprised you haven't moaned about Elendil's actor yet.

I'm just sharing my thoughts on the series.
perfect actor choice
Nope, my kids are mixed race and the Jesus comment was clearly flippant. I have no interest in anyone's skin colour, especially elves, and the only long since dead carpenter I have any interest in is Karen. The mention of Black elves, hobbits and Jesus Christ in the TV Series thread seem to have weirdly stirred something in you about skin colour… sounds like you need to start a thread to get it off your chest.
He's not an elf, he's a human. But he's not tall enough? Thought that was an issue for you with the Elves?
Then it was necessary to immediately put the coronavirus into the storyline of the series and take Tyrion Lannister from the game of thrones and make him a hobbit.A book written 100 years ago needs modernisation to reflect the world today in any remake.
Tv needs more be more reflective of society.
He's not an elf, he's a human.
King of Arnor and Gondor, that's how I imagined him.
Aragorn is his direct descendant, so the perfect choice.
If its true, I express my another resentmentYes... but if you knew anything about him, you should know he's meant to be well over 7ft tall.
