So how bad is LOTR first two episodes ? Witcher level bad or worse ?

Both critic and user reviews are bad from what I’ve seen

The Rings of Power is exactly what I thought it would be. A generic fantasy show with a colossal budget that's Tolkien related in only the loosest possible sense. I'll say this, it is visually stunning and you can see why it cost so much. However any pretence that it was going to be faithful to the source material was gone within the first sixty seconds. Its still enjoyable enough as its own thing thus far and I'll probably continue watching but for me the first two episodes felt more like a Dungeons and Dragons show then anything Tolkien wrote.

Just ones that were posted on another forum i use, think one was entertainmemt weekly, irish times etc

It’s mostly the 6.0 average on IMDB that makes me think it’s probably not very good… even the witcher scored higher than that and that show was an unwatchable cheesefest.

You mean the first few minutes where they try to recap the First Age they have no rights to present? Not quite sure what you were expecting to be shown there.

Ok just seen there was some drama from conservatives about their being non white elves lol

What a time to be alive, might partially explain the IMDB score if they have been on a negbomb spree
