Has anyone watched around the world in 80 days? turned it off after 20 mins couldn’t bare Tenents portrayal of Fogg absolutely done my head in. Was I to hasty in my judgment.

I'm 3 episodes in, and I know what you mean.

As you say, it's not like the book in any shape or form.

I fear a lecture coming up from the BBC re British imperialism and collective guilt.

Why can't they just make an entertaining interpretation?

On it's own, the live action series isn't all that bad... it just completely misses the point of the original anime.

Recently watched series one of Resident Alien, with Alan Tudyk playing the Alien. I found it to be a good old 'fish out water' type comedy. Think the second series starts at the end of the month.

Very hit and miss him - even in the same series, like in Doctor Who where for 90% of the time he was annoying but every now and then fantastic (the end of Family of Blood being the high point)

Got round to season 3 of American Gods. Turned it off after 10 mins. Shadow has hair, they’ve changed Mr World to a woman & the leprechaun ain’t coming back. Big fat no from me.
