Finished the last kingdom last night.
It's a great show if you want something to watch. I do have the odd hang up but it's not really detrimental to the overall story.
Uhltred is a great character and seems to fit the right balance between superhero esq and restrained by his environment.
Think the show is also benefitting from a set cast now as apposed to chopping and changing in the first couple of seasons.

ya finished it myself the other night and similar to you it took me awhile to get into it but it is defo after growing on me.i wonder will the kids have a big say in the next season?
