Travel thread 3.0

Been several years since I last went. Found the central and more popular areas too busy and was always wary of getting robbed. A lot of tourist traps as well for food so I’d plan where to eat in advance.
If I was to visit again, I’d probably just find a nice area on the outskirts and sip coffee and beers all day in some local cafe.
Not sure your mate would enjoy that though. It’s why I always liked travelling alone tbh.
This is sort of what we’ve done in the end. Just hanging around tapas bars and slowly drinking throughout the day. Not done much touristy stuff. Been to some decent tapas places although they’re probably quite touristy.

When were you in Bangor?
A few years ago now, for a good mates (a blue) 40th - he still lives on seafront there . Got thrown out of Fieltys (apparently no one ever gets thrown out of there) then went next door and got thrown out again. It turns out that meeting a mate at the airport and getting on it at 5am does not bode well for the rest of the day

Very well played squire! Especially as the proprietor of Jenny Watts which is where I presume you went second, is a massive Blue. He left there 4 years ago and is now the owner of my local about a mile away and right on the sea.

Same, and been several times. Did get acosted by ladies of the night and lose my phone, resulting in a £700 bill, but didn't get literally robbed.
I should say, the "acosting" and phone losing were separate incidents. And the ladies left me alone as soon as they realised my wallet was empty!
