Ivorian's Everton future to be determined next week.
Lacina Traore’s Everton future will be determined next week after he visits specialists in both England and France.
The Ivorian striker, on loan from Monaco, suffered a hamstring problem in the warm-up at Chelsea last weekend.
Monaco’s medical team have visited Finch Farm this week and the two clubs have agreed to seek advice on both sides of the English Channel in order to fully ascertain the extent of the damage.
If the prognosis proves that the 23-year old requires surgery on the problem, it would mean his spell at Goodison Park is curtailed.
Manager Roberto Martinez said: “We have been working closely with Monaco to ensure we get the best possible treatment on the injury.
“He will now see two specialists next week – one in London and one in Paris. Then we will make the final decision with the parent club.
“If Lacina will be fit by the end of the season, then we will see him in an Everton shirt again, and that is what we are all aiming for.”
Traore scored after just four minutes of his only Everton appearance so far, in the 3-1 win over Swansea City in the FA Cup.
