Transitional

More than half the team were Silvas players today and he doesn’t think we need a striker so probably more his finished article than transitional.

Thing is mate it is very, very difficult to bring in a top drawer striker to hit the ground running in the PL nowadays...you have to pay big bucks. I hope he's smashing the Moshs' iphone as we type but I suspect there's a filter on it called Brands....

Well if it was his 3rd season we wouldnt be in transition would we Tim?

Every year seems to be transitional in modern footie. It's just a buzzword.

Everton losing to Brighton should always be a concern. The manager is rightly going to get a lot of time but he's below par so far. I'd give him a 4/10 so far. He needs to get a running win together in the second half of the season and he better not mess up the FA Cup rotating for our 7th place push.

I like what the manager is doing. I like his signings in the main and his style of trying to attack away from home. I totally do not get his rotation policy though, and the constant messing about with the defence. I also don't think he quite realises how big a job he's got here. Massive inconsistency and the odd tanking might be ok at Watford but it won't cut it here over the long term. He needs to put the fear of defeat into his players. They are far far too content to get by in midtable.

Not sure this equates to the rest of your comment....and dont think he should automatically get a lot of time....
Of course we should give him some time, but that was again a pretty awful performance...imagine BFS was the manager..how would you feel then....

I like lots of what he's doing. I just think he's underestimating the job he's in.

He makes lots of changes and there's no continuity. It's almost like he's using get season to experiment which is very weird.

I will be livid if he makes wholesale changes for the FA Cup.

Agreed Tim....he just seems to make stupid decisions, like changing a winning team, that shows inexperience for me. Am thinking we have waited long enough to be competitive now, the players need to stop talking about what we didnt do well (which they do very well after most games) and start showing guts, style or whatever is needed

What you thinking TBM?
Sad fact is if Silva doesn't drop Walcott and slot Richarlison back to his favored position we may continue to implode. These past number of games we have needed some direction to see if this unit could start to gel together and impress but the reverse has happened. Can Silva pull a proverbial rabbit out of the hat and try something new and bench the players not pulling their weight?

The T word every season under Moshiri.

It's what happens when you have a impatient trigger happy owner.

If them across the park win the league i'm not sure what Moshiri will do, will he continue the firing and hiring or actually have patience with a DoF and manager for multiple seasons and seeing if that route works?
