Defence very very vulnerable. Happy with attacking options. After reflection I'd upgrade from last night from C- to B-.

Definitely not the resounding strengthening of the first team core we all had hoped for though.

A

Henen
Atsu
Lukaku
Etoo
Besic
Barry
Galloway

Genuine money spent, its been epic.
Would of loved a last day signing for no other reason than everyone else was getting one though lol

C.

Very impressed that the Lukaku deal was done early, but when I look at the squad I don't think it's strong enough to handle a Europa campaign and another run at fourth.

My biggest issues are with the lack of quality out wide and the failure to find cover for Barkley.

...the key for me was the Lukaku acquisition. Getting him on a permanent was vital as he fits the RM team model. Beyond that to also get Besic and Eto'o was good business as well as investing in youth with Galloway. Bonus is that none of our key players went the other way. I've gone for an A, interesting though that despite the feel we have spent big, we're only 10th in the Premier League spend list.

I wavered over B- and C. I just felt we'd added a lot to first team attacking options and we lost no one of significance. I'm gambling on the defence sorting themselves out...a huge gamble I think.

I'm not as worried about the defence as some. I saw enough in the Stones/Distin partnership last season to convince me that they can be a capable short-term option. Finding a younger powerhouse to slot in next to Stones must be a priority next season, though.
