Pienaar is most probably leaving.
Donovan and Jo are only on loan.
Saha will struggle next season.
Cahill, phil, Distin getting old.
Do we need anyone else? Yes we do!!

Seriously?

Pienaar leaving?

Where and why? Moyes basically resurrected his career here and Pienaar knows the risks of going somewhere else, even if it's for more money.

Pienaar will sign a new deal here as he like it here, the supporters love him, and he's playing every week in one of the top leagues in the world.

Don't know about Saha struggling next season either.

To answer the original question, we could use one more striker.

We definitely need some sort of left-back cover. I know Phil Neville was the LB for United during one of their most successful spells but I don't think he's the answer. Mattock?

A young forward of some sort would be nice too. A versatile one like Moses who'd give us options on the wing. John Fleck maybe?

A certainly don't think over the next 2 windows that we could managed any deal that'd require a vast amount up front. So clubs in financial trouble may not be the shop window we want them to be.

I honestly dont think we have any money, so, I would say go with what we have got, if anything, we need to just try and retain what we have and get them fit, other then cover for Howard and Baines, we are good in most other places and if need be, Nash didnt look total gash the other week and we have at least 2 young highly rated LBs and a number of players that could, if need be, play there.

the goat talks sense(y)

In the long run I think we only need to replace Neville and Cahill. Right now I don't think we need any more players urgently. The most important thing is to keep em together. Can moyesy do that? Can Bill offer good enough contracts?
Cahill just turned 30 so no alarms ringing yet,he never relied on his pace did he so even if he stays for another 4 years his lack of pace won't effect him. He'll have his most gifted skill of late runs and jumping headers which no other PL midfielder does best.
Still I'll wait for the summer and this time I wouldn't be eager to buy as much as much as I'll hope our players to not being linked with other clubs.

Just a centre back please! Stoke have about 50 of them. Heirdosson at Pompey would be ok for six months. Bougherra at Rangers. Would be economic options.

Would prefer Cahill or Shawcross in the lonh run!

I would borrow for Vic Moses as well - an extreanly safe investment! We miss the boat if we miss out on him.

I agree, if we manage to hang on to what we've got and with Jags & Arteta coming back they'll be like 2 quality new signings - Great additions to a team that's starting to click (y)COYB
