Fonte was in a lot of "football hipsters" team of the year last year instead of the usual media garbage putting Cahill in.
They had a great defensive record last year which was mainly down to him and Forster (plus there 2 holding midfielders knowing how to set up, take not Gazza Barry).
Organised and experienced but as most people have said I just couldn't understand why saints would want to sell him.

In regards to the Fonte thing I read that he has recently ditched his agent and has been linked with employing renowned super-blurt Jorge Mendes to engineer an improved contract/move away, despite signing a contract improvement less than a year ago with the Saints.
