He hasn't progressed at all at Spurs. One of a long line of good prospects that has signed for them and stagnated. If he recaptured his Rangers/Scotland form then he'd be a good signing.
 
I dont know to be honest its like Bruce said in that he hasnt really gone on to the next level . Is it a case of his natural level is the SPL ? 9million though ? Never in a million years .
 
Classic case of a promising British talent and Spurs storming in with a ridiculous inflated price to ruin or delay their progression. Just a few;

Gareth Bale £10 million
Alan Hutton £9 million
Michael Dawson & Andy Reid £8 to £10 million
Darren Bent £16.5 million
David Bentley £15 million
John Bostock £???
Chris Gunter £2 million
Wayne Routledge £???
 
Don't rate him and certainly not for 9m. We have more important positions to fill as well
 

Said it before on here, I think it was on here....Don't rate him one bit. He stood out in a poor standard on League, and hasn't done much at Spurs. Pienaar took the piss out of him!

If we had the money, id love Johnson. Awesome player.
 
I thought he looked really good when he started off at Spurs. But I think if we could get Jacobsen on a free, we should rather do that and use our money for a winger

If he recaptured his CL form he'd be a good addition. That's all we can go on really, because you cant judge what he did at Spurs in the turmoil that went on there and his injury situation.

I do hope 'Arry isn't about to stitch this club up again. £2M or tell him to swing it.
 
Suppose it depends on fee, he looked amazing when he first signed, then he picked up and injury and hes been in and out the squad since then, hes been real bad.

I just dont rate Johnson, never have and never will, he is excellent going forward, but he really can not defend.

The RB is not a major issue for me, we get a good player who can play infront and it wont look as bad on the right, Ossie is shocking.

Agreed. He has a talent, but he's undisciplined on the pitch. I couldn't imagine Moyes putting up with him.
