Asics Gel.

getthelabel & the branded clearance stores have them quite cheap, loads of runners recommend them & I'm taking it you are wanting the support ? the Adidas Torsion are quite good for that too.
Cheers mate. Doc said I should get footwear with good shock absorbing soles as recovering from an ankle injury. He didn't mention support. He mentioned Brooks but they don't have any normal looking ones I could wear to work

As I said, Boost - it's light years ahead of anything else on the market & I'm not exaggerating.

Ultra Boost are £130 but on a whole other level to anything else, don't last very long though as the rubber on the soles are thin and soft.

Gel Lyte, I believe the gel is to absorb shock when running so probably why he recommended brooks as they are a runners shoe

As @Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian says, Asics Gel Lyte are fantastic too, a lot firmer feel but they do some new ones with a knitted sock-like upper if you are after comfort, the sole is a foam with a gel insert whereas the boost is purely expanded polyurethane with no foam.

All about what you prefer, the gel lyte and some boost are around the same price. I'd imagine the Asics will last longer.
