On the subject of re-issues, shops can get them made under license & if it says exclusive to size, JD & the rest of that group then often they are nowhere near as good as the ones from Adidas & elsewhere.

Marathon 80 compared to Marathon TR is the perfect example, the sole on the JD version looks & feels like it'd last 5 minutes.

3 yellow foam sticks on the heel... same as the hexalite stuff! Makes not a jot of difference!
The 11 year old me had visions in my sleep me of leaving the rest of the year in my wake as the shoes help me smash the 800m record (the world record, not the school record). I duly sneaked them out of my brother's wardrobe, went to sports day, and on the whole was left pretty disappointed by Reebok's claims.

Sorry if this story suppresses the market value of your shoes mate

I take it all back. Why do I not own these?

I'm not a massive Adidas shoe fan but had to get these:

from Offspring ? on offer at £40 there at the moment

Top tip - get yourself a suede brush, if you haven't got one already.

They're high maintence in that colour and as mad as it sounds, don't go out in the rain in them.

It ruins them !

they're Nubuck though so a suede brush will also potentially wreck them, I 'waterproofed' a pair and they ended up looking shabs and almost like the left & right were made in different places from different material. I do like Gazelles but if ever there was a sole that doesnt last so long it's that one.

I've found that a rubber suede brush over a wire one does the trick, as long as you make sure it's spotless. Otherwise you just rub dirt into the suede

Yeah, saw the offer on Twitter. No brainer.

I've always just relied on baby wipes, applying them gently where dirt has accrued. Works a treat and I've never wrecked any of my trainers through using them.

I'd love the blue or the olive ones, but I doubt I'll even get a chance to buy them.
