Tottenham Hotspur

I had looked quickly but saw both Spurs & West Ham play them in April but, for me, the point still stands - relegated side is unlikely to be considered a tough fixture when there is no way out

Teams often play much better after the pressure has been released. It is common for teams who have relegation confirmed to play with the shackles off.

Arguments can be made both ways but I am merely going off general experience of watching how teams play when there is nothing to play for. In an ideal world you imagine they have the shackles removed and can play ‘freely’ but in practice this is unreliable IMHO

Already a tremendous schedule in a WC year, people will check out

They've been assured of relegation for months now and are still beating teams.
And yet on 17 points through 31 match days, 12 points below being clear with 21 pts to play for - even if they won everything, they’d have to hope others do not get any pts to avoid relegation

Wolves’ fate is sealed, even in terms of probability it is less than 1% to avoid it

I agree mate, it looks like they`ve gone all or nothing on De Zerbi.

The problem with that as I see it, is that if he says no, they`re pretty much in " Dyche " territory and he`d have a very strong bargaining position, for his reported demands of a contract that includes next season too.

If that happened, they may as well as just give the whole lot up front, as theres` no way he`d be at Spurs next season, regardless of whether they stayed up or went down.
Yeah looking like zerbi , crazy though 6/4 yesterday then big money on Xavi this morning who presumably thought he had a chance which now looks it might have been to hurry de zerbi along .

De Zerbi surely isn't the way to go in their current situation.
I think it's a boom or bust situation. He is clearly a decent manager who can get a tune out of a team, which they need sooner rather than later.

However, he has a contentious personality - known to antagonise - and I am not sure how their players will respond to that, if that comes out.

Some of their players look like they've checked out already, and staying up may actually hurt their chances of getting the move away they desire.

When I was in primary school, every lad would ask for their hair to be cut like Mr T and this is what the barber would give them.

I know for a fact that by the end of his time at Brighton he had literally fallen out with like 75% of people at the training ground and others within the club.

Now imagine the fire sale for players like Romero, Van de Ven, Simons & Kudus? Crazy

If they do get relegated at least they are sure to have the nicest stadium in the Championship 👀

That'd be my worry as a Spurs fan or part of their fan base: short term, he may give them the bounce they need; long-term, he causes division.

If the players aren't up for the battle, that division may happen sooner rather than later. They have some fairly tricky games too to face.

My only thing is that West Ham have tricky games too, so that may save them.
