Its sitting back for 30-40 minutes. For the most part, we invite pressure. The Norwich games in particular got to a point where they put 3 strikers on the pitch to bag a goal.

There will be the exceptions, like against Man City, but for the most part we drop deep and hoof it out hopefully to the lone striker.

We're getting better at it as we actually do have chances on the break. But the fact we dont have an out and out central midfielder who can just hold and keep the ball does hurt in the later stages of games.

Think a Carrick-type player who could just hold it and pick a pass when everyone is in panic mode. Think that Leroy Fer could've done that in January but that went tits up.

Pretty much spot on this. We just love to invite the pressure.

had we played coleman and kev on the wings anichebe and jela up top and neville at RB we would have won IMO terrible formation today/choices today

Completely agree.

I dont even mind us doing it when we are against Man City, they ARE going to have a spell of pressure regardless of score, so when we are 1-0 in teh last 15min, it's always going to be one way traffic. I'm not too angry about today, but as you mentioned, it's games against Norwich. The difference between us and Spurs this season has been that in the last 15minuntes they look to kill the game off and guarantee the win, granted it will not work everytime, but i'd put money on that they have gained more points than they would have by sitting back and trying to sit out a storm of pressure.

No mate. Neville is utter ****e these days. He's not good enough for Ebbsfleet never mind Everton. Why would we've won with him in the side.

with pienaar and felli out that was our best possible team IMO, Barkley and osman were ****e out wide and it meant that baines couldnt get forward, having the team I mentioned would of had anichebe and jela up top together alongside mirallas and baines running the flanks and coleman having free reign to attack the flanks, neville at RB would of allowed coleman to mainly attack as IMO they were pretty poor on that side most of their joy came from their right side and middle of the pitch.

I'm not knocking Neville, but I think his top flight days are gone.

He's been a good player and captain, but it's time for him to pack in, like Cahill did. Be remembered as a good player.

Not often you say a Baines mistake cost us a goal, but it did today.

Only saw the first half but from what I saw we did very well at restricting them to speculative long range shots and apart from the perfect cross 30 seconds in they had few good chances. Boss goal by Mirallas.

Next week one or two of Everton, Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea will drop points. Make sure it's not us and we're back in it again.

I agree mate just think today would of been better for coleman on the right with Kev on the left which would of meant nev at RB as heitinga is a wimp and jags is too good a CB to be moved.

Coleman isn't a ****ing winger, please learn this. When he first got put there he did well becuase people didn't know of him, then they realised and found him out, he's lost and wasted there.
