London (The nice bits are good)

London is ace, as long as you've money to spend. That said, the galleries and museums are unparralled and, for the most part, completely free so you don't even need money in that respect. Much less racist than up north, too.

Just a shame it practically groans under the weight of its own self-importance and humourlessness.

I have a great mistrust for the south mate sadly

I find the general hustle and bustle of London to be a bit much. There are some lovely bits to it though

Definitely planning on Iguazu. Hoping Machu Picchu as well during our two year stay in Asuncion. Also want to see Buenos Aires and parts of Chile, so it's a matter of how much vacation I can squeeze, and the savings on daily costs versus the $160/each visas we'll have to purchase for each country we want to visit.

You're American right?

No cost visas to get into Peru, Ecuador or Colombia.

Chile, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina are all a pain though to pay for a tourist visa. Have heard they're boss places though

Cusco is an absolutely amazing city in Peru, as is Arequipa. Wouldn't fuss over Lima.

Haven't been to that many tbh, but:

New York
Berlin
Hanoi
Rome
Venice
Buenos Aires
Barcelona

were all amazing

Which college, mate? I was at St Aidan's, many moons past. Saw Eveton win the League while I was there, too. travelled down for the 2-0 win against QPR. Días felizidades.

Studying at Durham is one of the acest things in the universe.

I'm at Hild Bede. Unfortunately term's finished so I missed last night, Sunderland away is in the holidays too. Typical!

1. New York
2. London
3. Berlin
4. Milan
5. Barcelona
6. Miami
7. Philadelphia
8. Boston
9. Washington D.C.
10. Hamilton, Bermuda

Honourable mentions: Tampa, Nassau, Rome, Málaga, Madrid, Bruges, Amsterdam.

Cliché saying the top 5 really

I feel the same way about most big cities. Nice to visit, but everybody and everything is much too high strung and uptight for my tastes. Don't think I could ever relax if I lived in a London or New York type city, with one exception... I'd totally live in Toronto. 5th largest city in North America and it has a relaxed, pleasant, midsize city-type vibe. Boss.

It's why I like Liverpool actually

Much more laid back a place to be
