How is Baines surviving peoples hypothetical squad culls? Shameful behaviour.

We have not performed to our potential this season but we have a talent-laden squad. Baines is the cream of our crop; a first choice LB in any team in the PL (and Europe). Man U tried to take him from us and I imagine them, and the likes of City, Spurs etc are still circling.
Imo, it's essential Bainesy (and Capt Jags btw), sign a long extended contract with Everton Football Club. Blue Chrimbo wouldn't be the same without the lovable hipster (and Capt Jags' blue Santa impersonation of course).
