Needs to be benched for a while - but wouldn't dream of selling him

I do sort of understand the frustration about what his strengths are - he's a very old fashioned midfielder - decent at everything but outstanding at nothing

If we sell him to West Ham I'll be livid.

He may not be the most talented player just yet, but that would be the final nail in the coffin.

West Ham assistant manager Alan Irvine, who worked with Davies at the Everton Academy, was asked on Monday afternoon of his thoughts on the player.

And he said: “I know him well, worked with him since he was 13 or 14 and is a really talented player but to my understanding, we have not made any approach to Everton.”

IMO There is a good player in there and he showed it last season, I read somewhere he's stealing a wage only because of one good performance against city, that's not at all true he was very good in most games from January last season. There's very few stand outs this season so it's hard to judge players on that especailly the younger ones. So let's see how the team shapes up after January then I hope these younger player start to perform better.

I don't understand why any young players would want to play here atm. Our fans are absolute madmen/women when it comes to youngsters. How in the eff can you write off a 19 year old that has bee forced to play in an environment this toxic and hostile? This has been the worst season performance wise in quite some time.
