Davies will always have the passing ability of a class deep lying playmaker. He spots runs well the further back he is on the field and he can hit the long ball on point. He isn't bad at linking up play either, but his through balls from deep really stand out. He has to improve his strength and defensive ability if he wants to take the next step.

Davies will see a fair bit of playing time because he can play in many spots well. He can play right back or wingback, he can play in the defensive midfield, he can play as just a right midfielder, or as an attacking mid.
In fact, Im convinced thats one of the reasons Koeman played the 3 at the back in the away leg. He wanted more attack going forward, and knew that Davies is not a good enough defender to be a regular full back in a back 4, but a good defender if he has a back 3 with a little less pressure, while he gives us a LOT more going forward.
