Should start. Offers a lot more offensively than either Gana or Morgan.

That through ball for our opener was sublime and he's played them time and again. Quietly effective after that point, and had a better game than Schneiderlin.
 



Tom Davies says playing anywhere for Everton is “a privilege” and insists he is happy to offer Ronald Koeman versatility.

After operating as a right wing-back in the 1-0 second-leg win over MFK Ružomberok in Slovakia on Thursday, the 19-year-old returned to midfield for the 2-2 pre-season draw with Sevilla at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Davies was one of only two players, alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin, to complete the full 90 minutes against the La Liga outfit - and was deployed in both defensive and attacking roles throughout the contest.

And while the Academy graduate was pleased to return a more familiar position, he is also more than happy to play in any position for his boyhood club.

“It can’t do me any harm if I can play in different positions,” Davies told evertontv. “Playing wing-back was different to playing in midfield, it was tough in midweek and it was another test being back in the middle today. Wherever I’m asked to play, I’m happy to do the job.

“I enjoy playing in midfield mainly but, of course, I’m happy to play at full-back if I’m asked - it’s just a privilege to be on the pitch playing for Everton. Anywhere the manager wants me to play, I’ll do it.”

Davies helped Everton get off to a flying start against Los Rojiblancos, providing an assist for Sandro Ramirez to open the scoring with little more than 30 seconds on the clock.

“It was high intensity and we had to be on our game,” said Davies. “I think we could have done better in some areas, but they’re a top side and we did well to get a draw in the end.

“We came out of the blocks well. I spotted Sandro coming in from the wing - it was a good run by him and I managed to find him. I’m made up for him to score, it’s a great way to start.

“It was a tough game, but it was the final game of pre-season and that’s what you need. I’m sure we’ll recover well now, get some more good sessions in and be ready for the first Premier League game of the season.

Maybe Ross Barkley should read this and take note
 

He's genuinely one of the best passers at the club. Only Barry, Rooney and Baines are definitely better. That's pretty bloody impressive at 19.

Wouldn't disagree with that, but I think his competition is more Klaasen.

Schneiderlin tends to sit & ping the passes. I wouldn't want to restrict TD to that role. He's more box-to-box.

Gueye has an engine to match any & his tackling is a joy to watch. He's a pickpocket. TD runs him close in those departments, but leaves him behind with the ball.

Klaasen..I hope he's going to prove me wrong when he adapts to the UK game, but I think he's got a way to go. Good vision & quick passing, but I've not seen anything that would put him ahead of TD.
