Doubt it being many times over, if he was earning 30 grand a week last couple of seasons he would loose nearly half in tax, NI Pension so 60 grand a month x 12 = 720,000 a year then a good chunk in living expenses, probably worth a couple of million
Pretty sure they are set up to pay tax differently to us mere mortals, doubt they pay anywhere near the 40% / 45% rate. But if he’s got any sense a significant chunk would be going into his pension.
Edit, ‘football’ related income payments are treated as PAYE, image rights, endorsements etc are self employed income / ltd company revenue. So I would expect £60k per week to be made up to minimize the PAYE element and maximize the ltd company stuff.
