Not as bad as people have said, should have moved before this. Has just not kicked on or nailed down his position cm/cdm, needs to be starting games now wish him the best in the future

Pretty much this. Started 20 games in the season's under Silva and Carlo and did and adequate job.

He's just spectacularly weak in a league where strength and athleticism are key, and if you don't have that you have to be a very talented footballer.

Adequate sums him up though - he's just not good. On his day, he CAN be alright, but it's not a guarantee.

Also Carlo had clearly instructed him to keep it extremely simple - all he did was retain the ball and play the simplest passes ever lol

Carlo knows best.

I do applaude him though. I've not seen someone so slow and weak get to the top professional level, captain the club, and England youth level out of the thousands that dont

Been offered a twelve-month extension but apparently wants eighteen. Considering Tom Davies is low maintenance salary-wise, and the club could have limited funds to bring in new players, keeping hold of him could be a smart move.

Everton are hoping Tom Davies will pen a new contract extension that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2024. Although the player and his agent are said to want a longer deal, believed to be eighteen months, the club is confident that a compromise can be reached within the next couple of weeks.

Chairman Bill Kenwright commented: "Tom is a lovely lad. Have you seen his hair when he wears it down? Lovely. And, what I always say is... well, you know... it doesn't matter that you're not that good a player, you are a local lad and part of the Everton family... and, well... that's the important thing". Mr Kenwright also wanted it to be noted that this whole story is true and not at all a complete load of nonsense made up by Cels because he's bored

You do wonder if the family links have helped him along the way at some point. I agree It's been a while since a player who is so limited in so many areas has gotten to this level and actually lasted, should have been shifted a long time ago.
