He barely even ranks as mediocre.

Just another of these players who languidly stroll about, never actually doing anything tangible to impact a game positively.

He excels in that role, credit where due.

He reminds me of my undergraduate chemistry labs at university.

On the first day, one of the instructors told us to always ensure we were seen with something in our hands, a pipette or a beaker for example.

That way, it would be assumed we were busy and would never be asked to participate in one of the experiments in front of the group.

Maybe that's the Thomas Davies Laboratory today.

It's actually like clockwork that whenever he plays and invariably has a dreadful game, along with the rest of the team, it's always "well it's not just him", "it's not his fault", "he was one of the better ones" nonsense that's always peddled. He's a crap footballer, he's always been a crap footballer and he's quite easily the worst player in our history to have played 150 games, 100 games, 50 games etc. Worst regular player in the club's history and people still try to make excuses for him, why? Because he came through the academy? He's 24 years old, better players have been let go from worse clubs.

No other top level European side would keep a player like him on the books for so long except us, again that's not me saying we're a top level side, I mean top division, he doesn't get in any other PL sides obviously but I also don't think he gets anywhere near a German, French or Spanish top division side either. Genuinely think he'll retire in the summer and go off into fashion which is clearly his priority, I honestly don't think a Championship side would even take a punt on him, he's bullied in the PL, never mind the lower leagues, they'd eat him alive.
