Yes. Not flashy but where he needed to be and not easy to play through which for our midfield is saying something and for 11’ of stoppage time away to City is saying a lot.

People can't see past the jealousy of him.
Hated because he dresses a bit different, jumped all over for the slightest error because of it.

It could be argued that he’s brought on when we’re already in stronger positions and aren’t chasing games but yeah if that’s a fact he’s clearly doing his job when he comes on

Held shape, disciplined to covering areas of the pitch. Covered for teammates. Drove us forward to set up a chance for Gray. A lot of the thankless tasks. Not eye catching granted but the young man did well today.

Gained 10 yards and then was forced to pass backwards? Its not just about individual battles but awareness of your teammates sometimes. Although I personally would have preferred Onana off because he was booked myself.

Possibly. He’s much better defensively than Doucoure so hopefully he’d be in ahead. I could also see us go 343 or 352 with Iwobi deeper and McNeil brought in.
