At the home ground of arguably the best side in the world, who can bring on a Phil Foden as a late sub, where we are clinging onto a point that could salvage our season, and the psychological impact of blowing another result would probably kill us, and there’s 11’ of stoppage time, and it’s raining hard and the pitch is a swamp…

Possibly. He’s much better defensively than Doucoure so hopefully he’d be in ahead. I could also see us go 343 or 352 with Iwobi deeper and McNeil brought in.

I think back to the derby, we controlled the middle of the park, and he was solid. Done well i that regard although he did miss a sitter or two this season iirc.

Yeah he was poor, but, not through any lack of effort, he didn't let anyone down, he was just a limited player having a poor game. He doesn't hide on the pitch, even when far better players than him are hiding. As I've said, a limited player, but we are aware of that. He always gives the best that he can though, which is more than you can say for a lot of his more gifted colleagues over the years.

He has improved under Lampard. I think I saw earlier in the games hes been involved in, its 12 points from 8 games. It's a good record.
