What a stupid post. Firstly to suggest @Nymzee is secretly gutted we didnt go down. Ive not always agreed with him but he is 100% a blue.

And so is Tom D.

Have you ever stopped to think about why our past 5, 6, 7 managers have not only picked him but some had him as captain. Not one has tried to sell. Maybe there's something in him as Premier League footballer that those managers saw that all you doubters cant see?

Sign the contract Tom and let the heads fall off.
If what you say is true, why did he only feature in 16 games this season? 4 games as an unused sub. 4 games not in the squad and he was a used sub in 18 games. He‘s played just over 500 minutes of first team football this season - the equivalent of under six games. If the managers loved him why have they brought in Allan, Doucoure, Idrissa back, and Onana?

I think the club just sees a loyal / available player - it’s an easy decision to make when there is little money available - I would also think it’s an insurance policy in case we can sell him at a later date and get a fee. His performances for me have not been great - he is not an effective CM / DM. It could confidence - has anyone ever has sought his services elsewhere? I would think promoted teams may be interested but without any transfer rumours, a seeming lack of interest just supports people’s views of him as a player.

I hope for that lads own sake, there is enough interest in him for him to be able to pursue a career in first team football, otherwise if he chooses to remain with us on what I think would be reduced terms he will remain a bench warmer for us and a once promising career with peter out.

Haha best and funniest post I have ever read, well done. To suggest he is a premier league standard footballer is one of the most far fetched things I have ever read.

As for Nymzee (no disrespect to him) but I do not know who he is nor have I ever really come across his posts. But there is a trait amongst some on here that they wanted Everton to fail…

For anyone supporting the prolongation of a contract for TD I could argue is in that bracket.

Go back to your room and get back to FIFA.

I am not sure if you are arguing for or against Tom Davies.
Playing in twenty games in any season is substantial for any squad player and he was injured for a number of games as well.
Nobody suggested he was first choice and of course other players were signed unless you thought Davies was going to play in midfield on his own.
Everton club needs probably five or even six central midfielders to get through a season..... that is why he is being offered the contract.

I get your logic, but other teams will probably offer him similar. Relatively speaking, he is on a low wage and most championship teams would offer him similar. The question is whether he would want to play regularly.

How much do you think he's on mate? I'd be very surprised if there's a Championship club out there who could match what he's paid here (maybe a relegated club but a relegated club looking to bounce back, I don't think he'd be on their radar)

He is allegedly on £38k a week which would be a top wage in the Championship

….but your reaction to Kenny being offered a deal is probably worst than anybody’s reaction to Davies, not forgetting lots of posters don’t rate him either;

What kind of toxic comment is that? Of course I can, I was referring to the fact you spend a lot of time on here during the match hence you most likely not having a ticket, didn't mean anything else by it.edit you're not worth it.

Oh my season ticket. Yeh I used to have one in the lower bullens but I gave it up to my uncle when we appointed Benitez.
