Just over a month ago watching opposition midfielders waltz past Sigurdsson and Gomes made me appreciate his reliable commitment.

The concern has always been that he might be a tad over enthusiastic and get himself send off than he wasn’t committed!

And that has been consistent throughout his career from what I can tell - I certainly remember one of the Dallas youth cup competitions when, despite a long flight and the hot temps, he played almost 4 full games in the space of about 9 days and was giving his all right up until the last minute.
