Happy to keep him on as squad player due to his positive personality and local ties, but he can't play in a two-man CM, ever. Too limited athletically and defensively. His best role is coming on for 15 mins and running around and causing chaos when we need a goal. Throw in the occasional cup and dead rubber match start.

Davies is no world beater, never will be, but words fail me looking at the pure hate in this thread, what does anyone in the world expect an engine room of Gomez and Davies to produce? Especially against a well drilled, quick, team like Leicester. Some in here with the biggest gobs have obvs
never kicked a ball in their lives

Davies did his best by working hard and covering other players but we can all see that
his best is not all that good. LCFC's midfield ran the show and Tom was outplayed for
long stretches as was Gomes.

I don't hate him but after all the money that has been spent to be over-run by LCFC
because of their superior fitness and skill is bad. Not his fault at all.

For 50,000 a week we can have better .I don't hate him but even as a Scouser I don't get the arguments for keeping him .In the light of day all players whether in the team or out should be good enough to rely upon but we have a few that are good one in three and that is not what Carlo wants .
Judging by the few recent interviews Carlo is happy here and has no intention of leaving so slowly slowly he will get us there .

Thought he done well, harsh blaming him for the team not getting out when DCL and Richarlison couldn’t hold on to the ball, also Digne was very deep and unable to push us forward from wide.

His role was to break up play and retain possession and he did that well.
