Did some stuff well. Did some stuff badly.

He isn't a complete midfielder, lacks the strength and confidence to be an enforcer. Lacks the confidence to play long balls effectively from deep. Lacks the pace and confidence to be a dynamic dribbling playmaker.

Despite all of this his positional sense isn't bad, his passing is acceptable and he makes some good off the ball runs occasionally. The lad will continue to improve over time and as his confidence increases. I understand why people don't see a player in him because they expect a lot but there is a player in there. He is already a completely acceptable midfielder for the premiership and he is only 21. Gets far too much stick.

A couple of times he lost the physical battle I agree. He's too nice to compensate for his lack of physicality. Gattuso wasnt exactly a massive unit.

Sorry this sounds harsh but he’ll be playing in the Championship in the next year or two, there’s been little progression in the two years since that City game! If he’s still here in eighteen months time I’ll be amazed!

Why is he so slow

Said lots of times would love Tom to come good. Needs to work massively on his physical strength. Gets pushed off the ball way too easily. Very slow and his ball control atm is not good enough. Still young but needs to step up to make it here. Really hope he makes it here

Not good enough. Gives the ball away in vital areas and cba tracking back.
