Not comparable to booing 7 games into a new manager's reign at the start of a major rebuilding job, when we were a poor mid-table team with crap/average players to begin with.
But i'm not the one making the comparison. You can't say 'United fans cheered the team off when they were losing but we booed when we were drawing' as if that's definitive proof of a difference between the levels of support when only
some of our fans booed and only
some of their fans cheered. It's a blatant misrepresentation of the facts to suit the argument, so i'm calling it out.
I absolutely don't condone our fans booing us off at 0-0, but to make out like other fans don't do it is just plain wrong. I go to plenty of away games, I've seen our fans going apoplectic with righteous indignation that opposition fans at the likes of Palace and Fulham have dared to boo their team off for not beating the mighty Everton. It's daft and it betrays a weird mentality, but it happens everywhere.
Again though, Davies has definitely come in for some unnecessary stick recently, and it's very sad to see.
