I actually think he made this story up as his source was the Daily Star as they first broke this news about 20 mins before he said the same.

cleverley was poor before moyes came imo. i didn't really see him at wigan, he looked ok, but not enough for me to judge on. he's going to be a squad player at most and will be our 4th best centre mid, well 5th if you include barkley actually, presumably we'd get barry or an decent enough replacement.

£6m? hmm. hasn't he only got one more year left?
 

He was very very good at Wigan actually. Never really preformed like that at utd. However SAF played him ALOT and whilst you may of looked on thinking utd can do better than cleverley, he was never really poor until this season and they did win a fair few trophys with him playing a big part.

I'm not a cleverley fan (especially this season!) but at a reasonable price, away from the utd bubble and into our SQUAD...bobby knowing him well...well I'm not totally against it, may just be the making of him!

Who knows all players are risks tbh!

Could be another player like gibson who was also not rated by united i think 6 million is the most i would pay seems like a similar player to osman
