Should be doable imo. There are multiple clubs interested and while 7m feels like the most anyone would really pay for him we should be able to haggle strongly for clauses.

I don't think some people realise how skint the club is. Sell all day long at £7m, we can't afford to hold onto prospects at the moment.

Think its a very good deal, as long as its not like a million upfront with the rest due after a certain amount of games/promotion etc. I would add something like a 20% sell on fee as well. Dont think he will get to many chances in our 1st team, and for all the so called future potenial, it means nothing if you not playing

Heart and head have two different answers on this one, be nice if if was in a position to loan for a year and take a view.

I have a feeling he will be a really good player... but will he be at DCL / Beto levels i'm not sure, is he a better prospect than Chermiti... again i'm not sure.

It’s disappointing if he goes because I thought he looked like he had something but I haven’t seen that much of him and I don’t see him train or any of that so if Everton don’t think he’s good enough I accept it and hope they’re right.

….the manager doesn’t want to use him, it says a lot when we had a striker crisis. Dobbin impressed in pre-season, Cannon didn’t . That’s the way it is, decisions have to be made and Cannon should be moved on.

I wanted the lad to be part of the set-up but that’s what happens. Not many come back to haunt us but it’s wise to include a sell on clause.

The inclusion or not of a sell on clause will be telling as to whether the club are actually trying to think beyond the very short term.

I don't know if he will hit the top level however I do predict he will be sold at a profit from whomever we sell to.

To be fair, it should be standard for any academy player to have say 25% sell on.
Lad might go on to have a great season and be picked up by a higher championship team.
We should as a matter of course be having a piece of that action.
