Todd Boehly. A man...who wants an all-star game.

Be very open minded on this, why not, its just open minded thinking, loads of scope in the existing model for innovations, if not so much in the calendar as it stands- though there is an awful lot that could be cut from the calendar in my opinion, be very open minded on suggestions like this.

If it means a few extra quid for clubs, why not.

Wait, Klopp has come out AGAINST this and now Slippy G has SUPPORTED it? My God, the media are going to have their heads exploding like a scene from Scanners...
IMO it just proves what everyone has always said around here - Slippy's first, and only, loyalty is to himself. It looks suspiciously to me like he's trying to ingratiate himself with a prospective future employer.

What I think the conversation shows is that there are right and wrong ways to do it, which underscores the importance of getting it right should the league decide to proceed down that road.

Like Chelsea would go for him. On loads of levels.

All it takes is a quick google and you will find countless sources referencing that figure.

Anyway I don't know why Im bothering given I know you are a WUM.
Yes I'm a WUM because I challenge your dubious figures, lmao.

Still waiting for your nuance bro, quite the tap out earlier.

You‘ve not provided any figures at all but here is another article stating the tv audience was half a billion even back in 2002

Just accept you were talking nonsense. You got called out on it and now have to resort to calling figures dodgy even though you can’t find a single source with differing figures or even a hint of proof that the figures are not accurate.

So little effort after such big talk, much disappointment.

The worst “debate me bro” performance ever. Must try harder.

After watching @emir make a fool of himself in numerous other threads I thought 'must do better'.

But it turns out he couldn't.

To be fair the estimated worldwide viewing figures probably are inflated, I mean how do they even measure how many people worldwide watched something without all the different countries providing their data. Also how do you they calculate people in bars etc who watch just one television. It's basically impossible to have a really accurate figure. It's all estimations, perhaps generous ones but that's going to be relevant to any sports organisation providing worldwide figures.

The key point is that as far as I can see there is literally nowhere on the entire internet claiming that the NBA is the most watched league in the world, im not really sure where Emir has got this idea that its more popular from as there doesn't even seem to be any worldwide viewing figures available for it. He says it's a nuanced subject but hasn't provided any nuance yet...

Because your figures have no substance. The official UEFA figures for the EURO 2020 final state that the final pulled 328 million viewers, while CL finals usually pull around 300-400 million worldwide views, yet somehow you want me to believe that the 2015 game between Liverpool and Man Utd pulled 700 million views, especially during a time when both teams were very poor. Bro, get real. You lack any substance.

If you really want, I can pull up poxy sources that say that the NBA attracts 500 million viewers from China because there are loads of sources that say this.

The NBA is bigger than the Premier League on all social media platforms. NBA players have much bigger social media following than Premier League players. NBA stars are banging A list celebrities like Kendall Jenner whereas the best Premier League stars could manage a Love Island personality at best, there's levels man. The biggest stars in the NBA are bigger than the biggest stars in Prem right now such as KDB, Salah, Kane etc. NBA has influenced the pop culture far more than anything related to the Premier League. The NBA has produced billionaires. Michael Jordan is probably the most iconic athlete in the world right now, coupled with his merchandise. Who's the biggest Premier League legend? Alan Shearer? How does Shearer compare to the likes of Jordan or Bryant?

It's debatable but the big games in the Premier League probably do draw more viewers than your average big NBA game, but that's where the comparisons end.

Another point I wanna make. Whenever the NBA teams come to London to play games, you will always see a whole host of Premier League players that always flock to these games. PL players always compare themselves and look up to the NBA players. It's never the other way around. It's always the Premier League players posing with the NBA players and posting it on their socials. Mason Mount and Jorginho met with Tyler Herro in Miami earlier this year and put it everywhere on their socials, yet I didn't see anything on Herro's socials. That's not to knock anything off Mount or Jorginho, but it definitely shows you the social hierarchy.

Steph Curry's celebration has been emulated by many PL players, and many players around Europe emulate his celebration. Do any NBA players try to emulate KDB or Salah's celebration?
