look at the teams that have won at those grounds at those years alone. in those 48 games or so that we haven't won, we havent even been the best team once

Man United rarely get beat by more than 1 or 2 teams at Home per season, Chelsea went a couple of years with nobody beating them at Stamford bridge, and Arsenal went over a season without getting beat home or away. It's nothing to do with Moyes (except at Anfield to some extent) playing for a draw or bottling it, it's because it's very hard to accomplish and you need a lot of luck to win at these grounds.

Actually it isn't 41 or 44, but you're still wrong. It's 43.

In Moyes first few months in charge, March to May 2002, we played Arsenal & Chelsea away. That's 2.
We then had 10 full seasons of playing Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool & Chelsea away - that's 4 games x 10 = 40.
This season, we have only played Man Utd away. That's 1. We have yet to play Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea this season.

So 2+40+1=43.

If you're going to bash his record (and why you're arsed, and why you're doing it in a thread that's rightly, deservedly taking the proverbial out of Liverpool, who knows) at least get your stats right, and preferably start a Moyes-bashing thread in the Everton forum.

Total tripe.

In just recent memory, we were the better team at Klanfield in Dogleashes first game. Beckford scored to make it 2-1 and should really have won that.

At the Emirates a couple of season's ago when Pienaar scored THAT goal we were the better side.

Stop making stuff up just to bash our football club.

Brendan Rodgers on his side's away goals loss to Zenit St Petersburg: "I thought we were incredible. Obviously two down from the first leg and to concede again you might think the tie was over. I think we showed our quality. We should have had a penalty and we're thoroughly disappointed. We lost the battle but we won the war in terms of going forward."

Nice one Bren. You keep winning the wars, lad.

ROFL.

Amazing. Don't think Gervais could've done it better.

haha, i remember the beckford derby i was so depressed because we didn't even have a shot in the first half i don't think. just because we were leading in those games doesn't mean we were the better team. there are cases that maybe we were the better team in some games, like the 4-4 at OT, but i can't recollect one game where we were so much the better team we actually deserved to win

Why should we be winning away at three mega-rich teams that have qualified for CL football in every season David Moyes has been at our club? Two of which have splashed the cash to sign two of our best players away from us in Rooney and Arteta.

Also, Liverpool away.... yeah, we probably should have won there away at least once in the last 11 years. But if you think beyond Moyes, we have only won twice at Anfield in the league (1995 & 1999) in the last 27 YEARS.

Of course, this would all magically change if Moyes was no longer our manager.....:coffee:

i didn't know if he said they won the war, i thought he stopped just before saying it and then mumbled something else because he realised they didn't win the war. Surely they won the battle tonight but lost the war?

Oh I forgot we'd get relegated if Moyes left...
