Respect your view on the matter mate, just I disagree. Saying that, if going out the LC helps in finishing 4th then I'm not that fussed about going out.

That's pretty much my feelings on the matter. That, and it frees up the calendar for the FA Cup too.

I see the flip side - but I don't see much glory in winning a trophy that has no prestige left to it anymore, if it ever did in the first place. I don't crave us winning the Reserves league for the same reason.
