It's all about cash. Always has and always will by and large.

Liverpool have been top three spenders throughout the PL years and have massively underachieved...including Rodgers last year. Try going from 7th largest spenders to first place in the league. Now THAT would be an achievement.

What's different now is that they have a massive advantage on their rivals in number of games played, Suarez and Sturridge are in their pomp right bang at the same time, refs falling over themselves to give them a RECORD number of penalties.

It's just been a perfect storm...and, might I remind everyone, they still have nowhere near closed the deal on this gimme season.

I don't really disagree with any of that.

But what he's done is still impressive. I just wish it has been with like Stoke or someone!

He's done nothing. He's allowed his own way of playing (which he's had in place since he took over at Swansea when it was his decision to carry on things the Martinez way) to be cast aside and adopted instead the quick ball forward with not too much emphasis on possession...which is something similar in that respect to the Gerrard/Torres period at Liverpool under Benitez...the last time they went close in the PL.

Well I don't quite agree there. But hey hum.

The price for a season ticket at City is excellent isn't it?

This is for next season, compared to their direct rivals it's excellent value.

Fantastic, I suppose it's because they have a hard task to fill a 60,000 seater

Yea they struggle to fill it as it is at the moment. Although they are kicking United's arse on and off the pitch at the moment there's an attachment and romanticism to United which City will never ever be able to beat. Same with Arsenal too really for southern based clubs.

United have a much larger fan base within Manchester , I'd say it's 65/35 in United's favour compared to Liverpool which has a much more even split between Liverpool and Everton
