Today's football.

From a neutral perspective Everton probably wouldn't be that great to watch for me, but i'm not a neutral when watching Everton so any comparison to the way Bayern plays is largely irrelevant. I'd love the way Bayern play if i actually supported them. As a spectacle that game was pretty tosh.

Martinez has spoken a few times about our attacking play not being quick or direct enough. You'd never here those words come out of Guardiola's mouth. He loves death by football.
Some very good points this, we'd take a win by any cost for everton, but the argument here comes from a bunch of neutrals

Liam Siggers: Good performance and decent result, still hard second leg but Moyes deserves credit for the way he set the team up tonight.

general LOL. people can't really paint that set-up to be something it wasn't. yes, he was possibly right not to go all out attack to beat bayern, but people are in cookoo land if they think it was anything to do with moyes' tactics over the negative set up he sets up in every single game of this type.

In fairness it worked, they had a couple of chances as well

Anyone else seen any RS fans saying they could beat Bayern?! LOL. Just LOL.

I reckon they would. That defence was shocking; Martinez is a midfielder pretending to be a centre half. Suarez and Sturridge would annihilate them. Even United carved them apart whenever they went direct, and Liverpool unfortunately are the masters of that style.

Moyes got it tactically right tonight, but he was always going to as it called for a negative game with the odd counter attack.

He didn't do anything special - he just "Moyesed" it and tonight it was the right thing to do.

Problem in Munich is they have to score at least once and they'll now be expected to give it a go - so they'll get utterly smashed.
