Saints second goal was correct to stand because no offside player challenged or stopped Naughton from playing the ball, even though their presence clearly distracted him.

Doesn't seem to be any mention of second phase in that lot, although there did used to be i think. Maybe they took that out cause it did cause too much confusion.

I am flicking between El Classico and the Lazio/Milan game.

Lazio scored a goal which looked OK but was disallowed because a player whom was offside when the ball was played in from the wing attempted to get on the end of it.

He didn't succeed, never touched the ball and a temmate whom was never offside at any stage headed it in the goal only to have his celebrations cut short because of the other boy making an attempt to play the ball.

Arsenal need a family man to replace Wenger. Wenger has spent the ebst part of 20 years looking after all areas of his players, from youth players to seniors onwards. That is why they develop such good players, and have the right scouts to find them as well. It is not to do with 'do as i say' mentality it is one big family and the likes of Fabregas would never have left if it wasn't barcalona calling him. RVP left for money/ success considering his career to that point was injury plagued and needed the quick get out to win something on his own two feet. Otherwise he would still be there.

Any other arsenal player who has not been forcably sold so to speak has been happy to stay because of Wenger.

therefore It is not the style on the pitch Arsenal will look for, it will be the style off it. Martinez will end up at barcelona one day IF he takes us to the champions league and does quite well in it.

It's no different to when he was our manager. Moyes's Utd won 4-1 at Swansea - Moyes's Everton won
3-0.. Moyes's Utd won 2-0 at West Ham - Moyes's Everton won more often than not. He'll continue to play the same tactics regardless of who he buys and will continue to fail against the 'so called' top 4.
