Completely against the run of play, Llorente knocks it home and Juve up 1-0 just before half.

Milan have been dominating, Buffon with a few decent saves to keep em in it

Back on topic, sort of.

Palace had a fella booked for diving today. Pulis not only apologised to Mike Dean, but made the player do it as well. Fined him as well. Not his greatest fan, but that is just what should be done. Fair play to him.

well done pulis. must be livid, it was jerome thomas, they'd already been given a pen that wasn't to get a point and thomas was in the box, went around a defender and decided to dive instead of go for glory - the kind of thing suarez does but aguero doesn't - trust your own ability you bunch of melts, you're getting paid tens of thousands of pounds a week and you still feel the need to cheat instead of you ability to win a game.

The two best midfielders in La Liga might be Croatian, Rakatic and Modric both boss today. Fancy Croatia to finish second to Brazil in their World Cup group, ahead of Mexico and Cameroon.

Just back in my hotel after a cracking double-header in Madrid today.

Atletico v Real in the derby (superb atmosphere, and 2 lovely strikes from Atletico) and then a quick walk and short metro ride later it was Rayo Vallecano v Valencia (Vallecano is a boss little club whose fans are passionate - it's very South American in feel).

The Madrid derby at the Calderon is one I've been wanting to see for a long time, and it was worth the wait.

I also did Levante v Osasuna yesterday over in Valencia. Again, 2 great goals for my money.

Watching football in Spain isn't quite as exhilarating as Germany, but it's still a decent trip.

Indeed, we gave him dogs abuse at the game. His defence, (reasonable I suppose), was that his best outlet was Cameron Jerome so on that basis he thought it better to fall over.
I would say this about the pen though......no one at the ground, including any of the players, was saying that the initial contact was outside the box. Clearly, with the benefit of slow mo and various angle it was....however, at this point I would like to say....."Care?? .....me??"
Dean had a shocker all game anyway so no surprise he got it wrong. Well earned point for us and Pulis is turning into a Palace hero.
Serious point on the diving, after all the fuss about Ashley Youngs triple pike at OT against us, we must be and be seen to be whiter than white and I'm glad of that.

my brother's an ST holder st swansea and he says dean made the decision from about 60 yards away. i was watching at home on TV and it looked outside the box and first viewing, but of course i had a perfect view haha.

mike dean will never be liked by swansea fans because he reffed the last suth wales derby to be played at ninian park. despite being hit by a coin from the cardiff fans he gave them a last min pen with one of the worst decisions i've ever seen. two players going for a header, they touched shoulders, nobody appealed and he gave cardiff a point after swansea had already scored in the last min.

he's an utter tit tbh.

great to see pulis act over diving, the end of the day it shouldn't be up to the manager - morons in charge of the sport.

Chesterfield vs Portsmouth is a absolute disgrace. God knows why people want to keep these leagues. Would be so much better to have B teams in League 2 and work themselves up. Absolutely disgrace of a game.
